Public tenatively supports Gaza Peace Plan

A new poll by Electoral Calculus and Find Out Now asks the public if they support President Trump's Gaza peace plan, and if they think that Israel and Hamas should accept it.

Thirty-seven percent of the public are supportive, and only 5pc are opposed. But over half (58pc) are either neutral or undecided.

Reform and Conservative voters are the most supportive, with over half supporting the peace plan. Green voters are the most opposed, with fewer than a third supportive and one in six opposed. Labour and Liberal Democrat voters are lukewarm in support, with most uncertain or neutral.

Q2. "Do you think that Israel should accept or reject the plan for peace in Gaza?"

Next we asked if Israel should accept the peace plan.

A slim majority think that Israel should accept the plan, with only a tiny fraction (2pc) saying they should reject it. But nearly half (46pc) of people didn't know.

Support for Israel to accept the plan is fairly evenly spread across the parties with the Conservatives and Greens the most keen (possibly for different reasons), and Labour and the Liberal Democrats very slightly less so.

Finally we asked if Hamas should accept the peace plan.

Another slim majority (52pc) think that Hamas should accept the plan, with only 3pc thinking they should reject it, and another large group (45pc) unsure or neutral.

Responses to this question vary a bit more by political party. Conservative and Reform voters are keenest for Hamas to accept (with 75pc and 70pc respectively), whereas less than half of Liberal Democrat voters think that Hamas should accept.

Technical Details

Find Out Now polled 2,024 GB adults online on 13 October 2025. The sample was weighted to be representative by gender, age, social grade, other demographics and past voting patterns.
