A new poll by Electoral Calculus and Find Out Now for GB News, asking whether the public supports or opposes the government's plan for digital ID finds considerable opposition.
Excluding don't knows, 47pc of the public oppose the digital ID card, with 27pc in favour. The remaining 26pc are neutral.
Supporters of Labour and the Conservatives are mildly in favour, but supporters of other parties are more hostile.

Looking at voters broken down by age, all age groups are more opposed than supportive, but the younger groups are more opposed.
Find Out Now polled 1,071 GB adults online on 26 September 2025. The sample was weighted to be representative by gender, age, social grade, other demographics and past voting patterns.
